Description

One of the most visible forms of air pollution is in the air we breathe.  This can even be seen in the remote parts of National Parks.  Every year we hear which city has the worst air (usually LA and Houston top the chart in the US).  Relatively, the cities in the US are tame in terms of air pollution compared to cities like Mexico City and many others in eastern Asia.  As these megapolises increase in size, the problem or air pollution will grow with them.  Brown clouds containing desert dust and airborne toxins from dirtier areas have been know to travel across the conterminous US and even across the Pacific from east Asia.  Many cities are starting to tackle this problem because politician have to breathe the same air as their constituents.  It's too bad it comes down to this in some cases.  Reduction of vehicle emissions and adding scrubbers to power plants are two major methods to reduce air pollution.
