Description

The Atmosphere is an extremely thin layer of gas and dust that protects us from the dangers of outer space.  If the earth were shrunk down to the size of an egg, the atmosphere would be thinner than the egg shell.  The next time you peel a hard boiled egg, reflect on this.  Despite how thin the atmosphere is, the mechanisms that drive its movements are just being realized and predictable.  We all know how disparate weather predictions can be from reality.  Combining this with solar dynamics, a seemingly mysterious magnetosphere, and unfortunately rising global temperatures can make predictions discouraging.

Listed on the side bar are constituents and issues related to the Earth's atmosphere.  We go into detail about Diesel engine emissions, Air Pollution, the Greenhouse Effect, Light Pollution (which is wasted energy), and the Ozone layer.  Each heading has a brief description of the subject, a list of helpful websites, articles and reports and books that describe issues related to all water on earth.  If you find other helpful resources, please contact the webmaster to help make our web site even better!!!

NOTE: Information on Acid Rain is under "Consumer Information" and then under "Toxins".
