Description

Diesel is another form of petroleum used widely around the world.  Diesel fuel is actually a byproduct from the production of gasoline.  It is 30 percent more efficient than gasoline.  Diesels were once popular in the U.S. during the oil crisis in the late 70s.  In regards to the Diesel engine, they seem to last forever, some even over one million kilometers on the original engine!  Particulate matter has been one of the main drawbacks to Diesel, however steps to reduce this have been undertaken by government mandate and manufacturers worldwide.  To find out how a Diesel engine works, see the websites below.
