Description Environmental issues that present themselves on land can sometimes be the last thing we see. We can wake up one morning having difficulty breathing, or get sick from water we drink, but the problems on terra firma typically stay out of sight and mind if we don't slip into an open mine or live next door to a factory farm. What happens on land affects the air we breathe and the water we drink and recreate in. Listed on the side bar are issues related to a healthy landscape, Beach issues (also listed under 'The Water' section), Brownfields, CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feed Lots), Endangered Species, Farming and Ranching issues, Forest and Rainforests, Invasive Species, Mining, Parks, Urban Sprawl and Transportation issues. Each heading has a brief description of the subject, a list of helpful websites, articles and reports and books that describe issues related to all water on earth.
